There are some motor control issues with that receiver that have yet to be resolved even though they have known about it for a long time now. There is a thread on here about that issue where both Titanium and KE4EST commented on it.

I was going to buy TWO of those to replace some aging receivers I have but I don't want one with problems out of the box that it seems they aren't interested in fixing!! Just saying.................

I have yet to find one receiver that does everything. This one will do something another one won't and vice versa. I loved the manual channel add feature in the HDVR1200, but the instructions for the switch settings are very vague. When they upgraded to the 3500, they dumped the manual channel add feature. It was very useful when you run into a stubborn channel that will not scan in.

The LinkBox 9000i comes closer than any of them when it comes to ease of operation, programming the unit and video quality. However, it too lacks the manual channel add feature. When you do a transponder search by adding the PID info, it still won't scan in the Pursuit HD channel and it will not find the proper video & audio PID's for the SD channel, leaving you with a channel that has great signal, but no audio or video.

Maybe I'm overlooking something. I kinda gave up on those 2 channels since nothing I've tried works. The instruction manuals that came with the HDVR 1200 & 3500 sucks. It covers Glory Star, but says nothing about switch settings for multiple dishes. The others have multiple options like 2Cascades: Port 1, 2, etc. If I'm doing something wrong, I'm open for suggestions. :)

Anybody by chance know the diameter of most fta mounts for these 3ft dishes? I ask because we got a Hughes net dish and the mount is pretty beefy and it would be nice to maybe make use of the mount itself for fta if possible.

If i recall correctly the hugesnet mount will accommodate my commercial 1.2m dish. However being that i wanted a more permanent install for the 1.2m i planted a chainlink fence corner post. Ive had that thing pointed at 125w for almost a year and a half and it aint budged.
