Hopper 3 H341

Had an issue last two times using upgrade software in the Hopper Plus tools menu. During the upgrade Google gets stuck on step two. Takes a bunch of pull the cord reboots to finally get the Hopper Plus working again. Happened during the H339 and H341 update. For the H341 update I got a popup that said “need to connect the Internet” for a few seconds and then nothing happens. I finally disconnected the Plus and did another reboot. A boot recovery window (see pic) popped up. When it finished I reconnected the Plus and did a pull the cord reboot and everything started working again. What could be causing this? Is there a different procedure when using the upgrade software tool for the Hopper Plus? My other Hopper 3 (with no Plus) has no issues using the manual software upgrade tool.
If anybody with a Hopper 3 (no Plus) can you check your Diagnostic Whole Home menu and see if the WAP signal strength is still there or missing like my Hopper 3? Thanks

navychop, I added pic to my post #62. The WAP signal strength is missing. If you want to see what I'm talking about, I can post a pic of my Hopper Plus. The WAP signal strength is there. It use to be there in the Hopper 3 before H341 came out.
Here is Hopper Plus pic that has the WAP signal strength. It's missing in my Hopper 3.

Just the H3. No Plus. No Joeys. And no Wombats.

I used to have an OWNED Joey 1. Wasn’t used much so speed was of little importance. When the H3 came in, tech took the J1. I expected a “free” upgraded Joey. No dice. I was err- “perturbed” at that. But as improved Joeys came out, I got over it. I did not replace that Joey. And I dropped my (silver?) plan. Bill went down. CSR wasn’t having a good day. Sadly, I did not help improve it.

I believe I have about a year, probably a bit less, on my contract. Plenty of time to consider options. Lot can happen between now and then. I’ll probably stay with Dish.

I hope you stay with DISH. No wonder your detected devices has nothing listed in the Whole Home menu. I need someone with a Joey WAP, WJ, and Hopper 3 to help me. Thanks for trying.

I manually updated both of my Hopper3 receivers to H342 and my Joey3 client to J542. All of my notifications were not affected by this update. Trick play is working correctly for me. But unlike others trick play was working correctly for me before the update. 4X fast forward is still not available.
