It's frustrating. I have changed the LNB, the cable and swapped receivers but the signal quality is an issue? In the morning, signal strength is 85 - 90%, signal quality runs around 80%. But later in the day, strength is still 85 - 90 but quality drops to 25 - 30 and jumps around to the point of no picture, no audio. Does anyone know if the Newsource Feeds on SES 2 reduce power or something?
Even at night it's tough to acquire a picture, sometimes but not in the morning, it comes in strong.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Thanks

Signal strength is not too relevant, but the signal quality here in the mornings is usually better than at mid-day. Similarly, at night my signal quality readings are probably best in the day.

The Newsource feeds are strong for me and are receivable at any time. However, LPB is always tough nowadays. I may receive LPB at night generally but typically not during the day. At least not with high enough readings during the day for clear watching. I just watch the PBS feeds on 99W if I want PBS. All PBS feeds from 99W are always receivable for me at any time.

I agree with LPB on SES 2. Sometimes it scans in but weak, pixelated reception. But the news feeds are a puzzle. Strong and clear when I can get them but afternoons and evenings are hit and miss. I only have 2 cheapo receivers and they both react the same. I see your user name all over the sat world so you are the source! Thanks
Steve

What LNBF are you using, and what transponder frequency has the issue?

Hi Mike
The new lnb is a Geosat pro SL1PLL and the TX is 11960 H 30000
I set it up to 10750 when I installed the new cable and this morning, no problems but I'm sure this evening the quality will struggle and drop out.
Thanks for responding.

Well, in that case, bigger dish, and/or better aim might help.
