Hello

I'm trying to get signal of transponder 19 (12080 H 29970) at SES-3 103W with my motorized KU offset dish (0.9 m) without any success. LNB is GEOSATpro UL2PLL with Noise figure of 0.5 dB according to manufacturer (maybe in reality 0.7 to 0.8 dB). I do not want to spend money in a new 1.0 m 0r 1.2 m dish.

I get with the same system an almost perfect signal from transponder 22 (12145 V 20000).

Maybe this is a dumb question because the only way to know is testing it, but I have to purchase the LNB from a seller in Europe and would like to have other ideas and points of view:

Would it be possible to get the signal installing an Invacom snh-031 with a 0.3 dB noise figure (tested, at least in a lab condition)?

On 103W Ku, 12080 H 29970 is the toughest to receive reliably. 12145 V 20000 is stronger and easier to lock. Right now, 12080 H 29970 is 10.1 dB and I'm viewing it fine. 12145 V 20000 is 4.7 dB stronger at 14.8 dB.

Your LNB is fine. I wouldn't bother changing it. You should be able to receive the transponder with your dish but if you have rain you will lose the signal. You need a 1- or 1.2-metre dish to receive it reliably.

I get the 12145 V 20000 with 14.3 and 14.5 dB, but no signal of 12080 H 29970. Incredible!!!
