New TNAP Plugin: tnapnowplaying

A new plugin has been added for Engima2 receivers using TNAP. It's called tnapnowplaying. This easy-to-activate plugin will display a record cover, artist name and song title on screen for any Mood Music channel from 101W SES1 that is playing. A great feature to show info that wasn't visible previously. Info is available here.

After clicking Plugin Browser then click Download plugins (green) and install from Extension Packages.

The plugin was developed for the new TNAP7. Check with el bandido on legitfta.com to find out if the plugin could be used with earlier TNAP versions.

Where you kept saying it is legitFTA I am not seeing the plugin over there. Yes I am using version 7 and it is not listed in the plugin list as well.

Do you have an Edision receiver? I'm only familiar with this. If you have an Octagon receiver, it's menu structure is probably different.

1. Menu > Plugin Browser > Download plugins > Extension Packages > tnapnowplaying
2. Install Plugin (green).
3. Close (red).
4. Reboot Edision.
5. After rebooting, select a Mood Music channel and the information will be displayed.

I just look it is not in the plugin listing which version of TNAP 7 version number

Maybe you need to update to latest TNAP7 version. I am using the May 13, 2026 revision.

Thanks cause it was not on plugin download list using octagon image

Just FYI, i also wrote a different Muzak plugin. I actually just gave it to another user on this forum to test. Its an IPK file that can be installed on any enigma2 system. My plugin does not display album art though.

Looking through TNAPnowplaying code, it just does a query every 20 seconds. I save on internet, i only query after 2 minutes after the new song starts and then starts queries every 10 seconds after that. The 2 minutes is configurable. If you wish to try the IPK file, message me and ill send you a link to it.
