That's definitely a good idea, but it wouldn't have helped in this case. This motor and its associated hardware is brand new. Somehow one of the nuts got cross-threaded, I think. Don't ask me how - it seemed properly threaded for the first 1.5 inches or so. It got itself so thoroughly locked on...
