NFL 2018-2019 Season

I know of 1 person (cousin) who watched to see Pats RB Burkhead play, he played at Nebraska. She normally doesn't watch Pro Football except when Nebraska affiliated players like Danny Wood and Burkhead are playing. For her its all about the person wanting them to do good and doesn't care about the score. I find it odd myself but this is Nebraska.

CBS says Patriots-Chiefs got 53.9 million viewers. That's more than twice as many viewers as the Academy Awards last year, and about three times as many viewers as the most-watched World Series and NBA Finals games last year.

I would be willing to bet that a huge percentage of fans watching the Patriots-Chiefs game were rooting for the Chiefs. Everyone is sick of seeing the Patriots in there.

Haven't watched NBA for years. I stopped watching 2007 when I found out it was rigged back when Suns and Spurs were in playoffs and the Suns had 2-star players suspended for moving a few feet off the bench. Same NBA official who suspended players was later convicted for betting on games he was officiating.

And without the refs determining the winner.

Watched both games and bad calls as usual in both. Even the personal foul that kept NE in the game was bogus, hands to face foul on Brady late in the game would have forced a punt and NE would have never scored TD to go ahead. Too many games come down to bad calls.

There were bad calls that went against the Patriots in that last 39 second drive that kept them going down the field to tie the game with a field goal.

Crap like what’s going on with the NFL is why I would rather follow high school football. No drama and the officiating is more accurate than in the NFL.

Mahomes MVP by a landslide.

Mahomes -- 41
Brees -- 9

Its a shame the Saint weren't playing, would have been much better game ...

Rams Defense played well, as did the Pats .... the fact that the Rams could stay with in one score thru out most of the game kept it interesting, late in the game, before the Pats scored thier 10 points in the 4th ... one play would have put the Rams back in it or ahead ... however, it never happened.

I think the Rams went 9 straight possessions having to punt, only had 2 1st downs at the half ... and a whooping 59 yards total offense at the half.

The actual over all numbers don't look as bad as the game really was as the Rams moved the ball in the 4th.

The Pats pretty much controlled the game, even though they weren't scoring often.

Where was Gurley? Just 10 carries (3 in the first half)? Were they saving him for next season? Methinks something's rotten in LA.

The first half point total was 27.5. At the start of the 2nd half the live wagering total for the entire game was set at 26.5, lol.

What a snoozer, but wife is happy.

Unrelated, Raiders reportedly have a deal w/ ATT Park to play there next season. Once final the Raiders would play just a couple BART stops from their prior home for a season before the move to Las Vegas.

Oakland's lawsuit against the team has it's first hearing next month iirc.

Lowest overnight TV ratings in 10 years. The team everybody outside of New England hates vs the team that didn't belong there in the first place seems to have shown up in the ratings. I would much rather have seen Mahomes vs Brees.

How many ex-players can come out of retirement to cover all their current player's suspensions? They should rename the stadium "Jerry's Home For Near-Do-Wells".
