Yes when the pixilation starts, when it gets really bad the audio drops out all together. The screen doesn't go com[pletely black, sometimes the picture still moves with artifacts of previous frames. I forgot to mention no trees or other obstructions blocking the dish, clear shot to the sky....

So the initial set-up call goes to Tivo and from then on if not plugged into a phone line it will never call D*. If that initail call does go to Tivo only do they share the info collected from that unit with D*, does anyone know for sure?

When a Tivo unit phones home who does it call, Tivo or Directv ? If it's downloading Tivo software does it not call Tivo then ...? If it does call Tivo do they share the info (area code called from etc.) with D*? :confused:
