just use the "audio/video out" of any sat receiver/dvr into the "audio/video in" of any vcr/dvd recorder (or pc capture) and you can record any thing coming out of the sat receiver (live or played back) by using the audio/video inputs (not the tuner)

unless you can't afford the $6 per month, get a dvr it makes tv fit your schedule

if you have a dvr find the ppv you want in your guide, set it to record and don't start it until you're ready to watch it

I've used "Primestar" dishes by mounting a "E" lnb with zip ties. works great. Just get the feed in the same postion(as the orginal) and just about any dush will work.

I use a SW64 with my 625 and three dishes with legacy dual lnbs.

SW64 was designed to work with legacy dual lnbs and locks each lnb into horz & vertical polarities. Maybe someone can adress if a SW64 will work with your setup.
