    622 New Firmware L631...

    I had the problem with tuner 1 of 622 losing video but keeping audio on certain channels. Dish sent me another 622 and now it is doing the same thing. Still have software version 630. Reboot will fix it but that is a pain. Just wanted to check the boards to see if this is an ongoing problem...

    Satellite and storms

    Same as jadiff stated. Very seldom lost signal until upgrade to Eastern Arc. Now it goes out much more often with storms.

    Any suggestions on a brand or specific surge protector? I have three lines coming into my house connected to a DP 34 switch with four lines coming out of that. Would a surge protector go here or would I need one at each TV and receiver?

    SD Quality on HD Package?

    We have a 61" Hitachi and the SD picture is much better with the 622 receiver. Originally had it hooked up to a 301 with S video connection. Much improvement on all channels with 622 and hdmi/dvi connection.

    Just called today to upgrade to HD. I have Dish 500 quad. I told tech I needed a wing dish at 61.5 to get the Washington DC local HD channels. This was news to him!! Tech said I needed dish 1000 to get all other HD on 129. Won't the 61.5 pick up all the HD channels? I live in the West...

    Washington DC HD locals; no CBS

    I am getting ready to make the jump to HD since they added Washington DC locals to HD. I checked the dishnetwork website and they have ABC, FoX, and NBC listed as HD but not CBS. I live in WV and do not receive any OTA channels. Any info as to why CBS is not included and how I can get it? Thanks

    Will 522 be available to existing customers

    DishTechCB, I have a quad 500 with 4 receivers. Is there more involved than taking two lines that are conncected to two of my receivers and running them both into the 522? Thanks for the reply.

    Will 522 be available to existing customers

    I recently upgraded one of my receivers to the 510 DVR. I am qualified to upgrade to another 510 if I wish. If they are going to offer the 522 for lease early next year, I would wait for that. CSR stated they did not have any current plans to offer 522 to existing customers. Any info? Thanks
