His handheld unit show 60 dbs at H3 and is locked but 2 different H3's don't show switch or signal. He gave up after replacing everything including the cable. Any ideas? His brain was stuck at, if he has a signal the H3 should work PERIOD. So how does one get 60db but still no signal?

Well it seems the stupid 1 am reboot has not been removed from the H3. All that has changed is the H3 will not ask you if it can reboot like the other hoppers do and will just skip the reboot and wait for the system to no longer be in use. It has nothing to do with guide data not updating it...

Settings - notifications - shared view. Looks like I can mirror two tv's so when playing an xm station they would be in sync but when I turn it on then look again it is off. So is this not avaliable yet, a bug everyone has or just me?

The power supply on my H3 died so I am paying for service and missing out favorite shows until new unit shows up. I have the answer...... Dish needs to provide us with a temporary Dish anywhere account that can be used to watch and dvr PTAT. :) Maybe a feature of the $8 insurance thing.

Looking to upgrade avr thanks to the new 4k hardware. Atmos seems to be the next wave of audio but it seems to require DD+. So is hopper 3 dd+ capable? Will dish offer atmos content ( like Game of Throwns?)

I had a hws and a hopper with a sling adaptor so 2 connections from outside the home could be made. Upgraded to hopper 3 and 4kj and it seems my external sling is now useless so only one connection from outside the home can be made (we also used them to watch on laptops at home where no tv's...

I know I can set a recording timer on either hopper with my phone or computer but my question is can I sit in front of hopper 1 and set a timer on hopper 2 or do I have to go out to the other hopper to set a timer?

I no longer have access to the devices in my authorized list of devices so I can not deauthorize them and 30 days is a long time to wait to be able to use this festure.

Just for fun I did a backup of the remote and receiver when I first got my hopper all set up with timers and favorites. My hopper died the other day so Dish sent out a replacement but I was dreading setting up all my timers again when I remembered doing the backup. BAM ! ! ! 2 minutes later...

My hard drive died and a new receiver is on the way but I no longer have service to the Joey. Is the hard drive needed for the Joey to function?
