    C61W

I was always told that this would be the 4K wireless box but that's not the case right? Just a wireless version of the C61? I know there is not 4K checkbox under resolutions. I'm just double checking because I was given one the other day and It's showing up on my account as a 4K Genie Mini. I'm...

Considering buying an HR54 to replace a dead HR34

The HR34 was the first version of the "Genie." The C31 relies on a genie server and cannot operate on it's own. It's considered a client and needs a server to function.

    Getting 4K HDR

It won't ever change from HLG to HDR10 for broadcasted HDR. HLG is Hybrid Log Gamma which means the signal is carrying the HDR information as well as the SDR info. It's then up to the TV to decode that information. If your TV can view HDR content then you will see HDR. If it's not it will just...

    Getting 4K HDR

I have the same problem that you have lol You're gonna want to use HDMI 1 as it supports v2.0. When I want to use my 4K box I just move over the HDMI out cable to it. I'm trying to find an affordable HDMI Switch that supports HDR so I won't have to do that anymore. What kind of TV is it? You...

New Guide UI now rolling out (plus HDR support!)

If anyone is interested in easily finding HDR programs go to your guide and hit 0, sort programs by category, and then select HDR.

    Hopper Help

It'll be fine. You could be what they call a "snow bird" account. Just remember, if you get a single hopper system that you take back and forth you will need two solo nodes. A two hopper system will need two duo nodes. That's assuming you wouldn't want to keep screwing and unscrewing your node...

    Hopper Help

You can use a one dish solution now for both EA and WA by using a 1000.2 dish with the corresponding LNBF. I would recommend two Hoppers, one to keep at your house and one to take with you unless you don't mind unplugging and plugging it back in when you travel. Instead of dealing with the...

Not all installers are created equal.

Galaxy 1 is a subcontractor. Depending where you live you can always request an internal technician. Some places though are RSP (regional service provider) territories where there are no internals. Sorry to hear about your issues with the technician.

    I'm getting dishNET installed.

Hey, Joshua I'm pretty sure I've dispatched for you before lol I cover Indianapolis, Terre Haute, Evansville, Merrillville and sometimes Southbend and Fort Wayne. Have you installed the Jupiter system yet? How is the installation process compared to SB2? I used to be a tech and switching from...

    ViP622 L711 Update

If you have issues like that with a 622, next time you have a visit ask your tech to swap you out for a 722. You'll be very happy. A tech should replace a receiver that randomly reboots a lot because they do not want a TC-12.

    ViP622 L711 Update

That may be the update where the receiver will auto-change from HD to SD during a storm where the HD signal gets lost. Very good feature.

U-verse internet and sling adapter--"Satellite Signal Lost"

If you recently moved where you had multiple dishes you may need to do a new check switch and then select save. It doesn't always mean that there's a problem when fewer satellites are found. For instance, at your old house you may have had a dish pointing at 148 and not at the new house. Your...

    Greetings from Team Summit

Speaking of Hopper and Joey's, I'm a technician and have been noticing that the channel logos have no longer been appearing on the guides since the new update. Anyone know anything about that?

    Max Go problems

If you're having problems with Max GO then you should probably contact Cinemax as it is not a DISH product.

Dish TV and SureWest TV on same cable

Cable runs on similar frequencies as satellite so diplexing both could cause problems. However, I have seen it work. The problem you will have will be with tv2. It will be fuzzy.
