Disillusioned tv streamer, and former DTV sat customer, has a question regarding equipment

I was last a DirecTV satellite customer more than 10 years ago, and I am considering returning to the fold in the near future as I am disillusioned with streaming tv. I still have their satellite dish on my house. Would they reuse the dish as is, or will they replace it with a new model. Have...

I'm finally pulling the trigger and leaving Time Warner Cable after more than 7 years with them. Now that my great TWC legacy promo finished, I figured it was time to leave. I've chosen dish for tv(Sunday install), AT&T for internet(installing Friday), and ooma for telephone. I'll be saving...

Hopper 3 and new customers questions

Earlier today I called Dish, and after talking with the sales guy, I signed up for the AT200 package with free install and a hopper 3, or so I thought. Shortly afterwards, I received the order confirmation email, and I noticed that under "receivers to be installed" it stated "1 Rcvr Hopper with...

    Question regarding Dish HD upgrade

Another question regarding vga and the 360

My HDTV's native resolution is 1366x768. When I have it connected to my 360 the best res I can get via VGA is 1360x768 as 1080p doesn't work on my TV (although 1080i does work via component). Should I leave it set at the tv's native resolution or should I use 1280x720 (720p)?
