Oh Well I changed the wires around, there were 3 wires coming into my house and they were all connected to the bottom ports on the switch.....only the 4th port was free. Also only the 1st port wire seemed to have any effect on the signal, when I removed it, I lost sat. signal to both boxes...

More We need more info....how could they possibly be selling a hd dvr that won't record HD? How did you prove it, so we can check out our boxes, if we ever get them? I'm waiting for the call Friday from Dish to tell me for the 4th time that they'll have to cancel the installation....no 44...

I've had my hd install for a 622 delayed 3 times! Is there a shortage of those 44 switches? It's starting to get rediculous! Where do I call to reschedule? the number that the rep left is no good, she must have gotten one number wrong or something....does anyone know what number I could call?

I just ordered the HD platium package.....the rep mentioned that the receiver was mpeg-4 capable.... I've heard of mpeg-4....not sure if it's better or not.....is this just a more compressed signal? Will the HD reception I ordered be better or worse than what I've been receiving?

HD Package I'm repeating what the rep told me....I asked specifically about the Starz, Cinemax channels .......I asked if I would loose those for the VOOM channels and he said yes. I hope he was wrong....but why don't they make things clearer on their web site......under HD Programming...

Somebody tell me I'm wrong! Dish is offering that HD Platium package....making it out like your getting everything plus more HD programming....meaning your getting the VOOM channels. If you have the AM. Everything package + the old HD package.....then by converting to the NEW HD Platium...

Pg I have an 811 HD box and the 522 DVR SD....it does allow me to scan and enter OTA channels, which do get PG info on those channels....I do subscribe for the local channels.....which show up as 7600+ channels because this DVR can't be set to record OTA channels....which require a channel...

Ota So if I don't have local channels on the sat. then I will have no idea what's on, short of looking in a paper tv guide, or online somewhere? Why did they go backwards with the capability of these units? I have an older Dish SD DVR that can display OTA channels in the guide....are there...

Guide? Are you saying once I enter OTA channels into the HD DVR, that they don't show up in the program guide at all or is it that there is no recording info or something in the guide allowing easy scheduling? :confused:

Is there a site somewhere that I can compare the new HD packages side by side to see what I'm loosing or gaining from what I currently have, which is Am. Everything package with the $10 HD package. I tried to compare at the Dish site but it got a little confusing.....where are the channel list...

Can the 622 DVR watch and record OTA HD? If it can I could drop my sat. local channels. Currently I have a DVR that can only record my local channels through the sat. dish....since it doesn't have OTA local channels......I watch OTA HD through the HD box.

Does Dish offer internet service via a sat. dish? If not are there any future plans to do so? Does anyone know of any companies that offer sat. internet? :)
