If you did get an unlocked I-phone, the only other service in the United States it would work on would be T-Mobile. Sprint and Verizon broadcast a different type of signal than AT&T uses. Now, out of the country most providers do use the same system as AT&T and T-Mobile.

As was stated before, the D* web site can't be counted on for HD locals information. The site still says I don't get my HD locals, yet I have been receiving them for almost two years.

I have had vinyl siding and dishes on the side of my house for years and it has never been an issue with installs with either D* or E*. Current dish is a Slimline.

I wouldn't count on D* ever having VOOM since some D* ads have basically said they weren't anything people want.
