I can't comment on the EHD since my 211k doesn't have one attached. You are correct on all the other things. Our 722k's OTA module still works, and you can record using manual timers since the OTA locals have no guide info. Same with the built in OTA tuners of the 722 and 211k, they both work...

That time and channel will have a short message from Dish. Usually about pay per view or free previews. Maybe a glitch at their end caused it to not broadcast so the timer was set again to record it the next night. Posted Via The FREE SatelliteGuys Reader App!

No, you're good. The splitter at a distance probably introduced too much signal loss causing the fuzzy picture. There's not enough rf power for the signal to leave the cable to travel any distance. Enjoy! Posted Via The FREE SatelliteGuys Reader App!

Option 2 will work fine. I did it by using a regular splitter backwards. Connect your tv 2 to one output. Connect your OTA to the other and your Tv to the single input on the other side. As you said, you'll have satellite on channel 60 along with your local antenna channels on their channel...
