2 HD DVRs, 1 HD non-DVR to Genie?

All that's been in the field for nearly 2 months is HR24's.

good to know. When my stepdad got a replacement DVR (his HR23 crapped out) I was shocked to see a HR24 there (shocked D* shipped it to him)
My mom thinks its weird "to see all those blue lights on the box" ;)
 
Ok, I think I'm abandoning the idea of going to the Genie. I may try to get new receivers. And maybe Whole Home DVR.

Don't know why you would abandon going to the Genie. Even if you don't use any clients, just think of the Genie as a 5-tuner DVR.
 
I've actually just ran in to this problem about 2 weeks. I was recording 6 programs on 3 HDDVRS. This is the first time it's ever happened and I'm not even really sure how it happened
