2 Hopper 1 Joey problem

Oh yeah.

That tech, sadly, might be learning new things tomorrow. Like how to say "You want fries with that?" Sigh.

So issue wise a two hopper/one Joey set up is possible right?? Others have had it and no issues with signal strengh???

Yeah the original issue is I had lost satelite signals except for a couple channels. After trying to replace the duo node a few times that's when the single node idea and dual dish came to him :facepalm:facepalm

Is your system still down or did the tech fix it?

Well I have picture now, but I have two dishes on my roof and two single nodes instead of a dual node, field service manager coming tomorrow

Not happy with two dishes and with the single nodes, Joey does not see both hoppers and when future intergration of hoppers come I think there will be issues with that as well with single nodes

Hmmm. I wonder why the Duo Nodes are not working....

Field services manager could not come today due to our schedules. Coming tomorrow, just wondering what is a field service manager. Obviously they are a manager but also a tech??

Hopefully the ones that the field service manger have with him tomorrow work, so I can get to use the system to the fullest and get rid of the two dishes!!

Field Service Managers, aka FSM, are the direct managers over the installers also known as FSS ( field service specialist).

Usually FSMs have been technicians previously and must have all the knowledge of FSS as well as train the current FSS's in any new equipment,
Above them are IM ( installation managers) who may or may not have had install experience, and then there are General managers, who mostlikely have never held a wrench in thier lives.

But keep the collection of extra holes!

Thanks, hopeing tomorrow is the day they get the system working as it should!

Just a thought: are all unused ports on the node and any splitters/taps terminated? Dish and also general MoCA documentation stress the importance of terminating ports to avoid reflections and other issues resulting from open ports.

Thanks, hopefully the FSM can figure out how to get my two hopper/one Joey system working with no signal issues and one dish!!
