2 new HD channels today?

Admittedly, I don't scroll through the entire channel lineup very often, but just this morning, I noticed that 2 of the ESPN alternate channels (304 & 308) are showing the Voom demo channel in HD.

Is this new? Are they considered HD channels? Are they going to become new channels? Are they "slots" for increased bandwidth and new channels to come?

If they have been there a while as HD channels, it's news to me. If that is the case, then sorry to hype it up....

In a recent search on the satellites I found that ESPN-HD now has an ESPN-HD Alternate channel. Perhaps one of the Alternates with be the new HD Alternate.

Its been like that for a long time.

Maybe once they have all the Harmonic Encoders again they will use those 2 HD channels for HD and make the alternets back into the SD channels they really are.

By end of March everything should be in placed... It is my estimate and opinion...
