Congrats to Glover. Seeing Phil win would have been better but it wasn't meant to be. I just hope that Glover doesn't just fade back into obscurity like so many other major winners.

As for Glover's win- very nice for him.

Unlike in 2006, when, IMO, another unlikely-player in Geoff Ogilvy lucked his way into the title (after Phil, Colin Montgomery, and Furyk all screwed up on 18), this guy EARNED it (he was near the top of the leaderboard most of the weekend- anyone who stays close is in it, and he was, and he prevailed).

Good for him!

At least the winning score was just 4 under. Glover, in fact, was 3 over in his final round. I couldn't believe it when Barnes was 11 under at one point. I thought what is this the Bob Hope Invitational? At least Bethpage bit back today.
