2010-11 NFL Season

What a pair of primetime games we have next week!!!

Steelers (8-3) at Ravens (8-3) for first place in the AFC North- Sunday night

Jets (9-2) at Patriots (9-2) for first place in the AFC East- Monday night

CBS must be rippin' that they lost BOTH of these games! Oh well, they could get the same matchups in the divisional playoff round.......the ratings would be staggering!!

The Raiders are what I thought they were.... a mediocre team that is not ready for prime time. I completely blame the OC for this loss. They COMPLETELY abandonded the run. The Raiders are a running team and you have to stick to your strength...even if it starts slow. The only ran the ball 16 times all game....11 in the 1st half.

I am so pissed off about this loss.

Unless the Steeler's seriously overlooked Buffalo, the Steeler's season is in a freefall and they will get crushed next week by the Ravens.

Steeler's O line just plain stinks.

First series this week they ran the ball and moved right down the field, I thought, OK, if they are going to be able to run the ball like this, this will be an easy win .... I headed to the Airport to pick up some friends and listened to the game .... Thank you XM !!!

BTW the Mobile ST that D* has out gives you the scores and highlights, but NEVER will show anything LIVE, nice work D* unless my mobile is missing something .... I paid extra for it and am not getting what it's suppose to do .... the Computer one works fine.

I give propps to the Bills, they are coming along and are no longer an easy out.

If a friend of mine was still in town, we would have went to the Steelers/Bills game. She's a huge Steelers fan and we talked about going, kinda glad she's out of town for the time being. :D I would have never lived this one down. The Bills put on one hell of a show in the second half, but came up short as they usually do. Stevie Johnson will be thinking about that dropped pass for a while, but it will only make him a better player. I saw his post game interview on YNN, Johnson is taking the dropped pass pretty hard.

By Monday morning he should have forgotten about it, his teammates and coaches will see to that.

I wonder if Josh McDaniels is in the mood for singing 'The Mighty Quinn'

That trade earlier this year in which the Broncos and Browns essentially swapped Peyton Hillis for Brady Quinn is looking hilariously lopsided in Cleveland's favor.

Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn

Everybody's building ships and boats
Some are building monuments, others are jotting down notes
Everybody's in despair, every girl and boy
But when Quinn the Eskimo gets here
Everybody's gonna jump for joy

Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn

I like to go just like the rest, I like my sugar sweet
But jumping queues and makin' haste, just ain't my cup of meat
Everyone's beneath the trees, feedin' pigeons on a limb
But when Quinn the Eskimo gets here
All the pigeons gonna run to him

Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn

Let me do what I wanna do, I can't decide 'em all
Just tell me where to put 'em and I'll tell you who to call
Nobody can get no sleep, there's someone on everyone's toes
But when Quinn the Eskimo gets here
Everybody's gonna wanna doze

Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Come all without, come all within

Josh McDaniels essentially swapped a guy who has ran for 11 touchdowns, is all but a lock for 1,000 yards, runs really hard, and is becoming a cult hero in Cleveland.

In return... at least he'll have a nice song to hum. :D:D:D

Then again, after seeing what the Rams did in Denver, he's probably better at singing than putting together defense. San Diego's pass explosion last week, as well as Oakland's 59-point detonation- exhibits A and B.

Steve Johnson, Buffalo Bills wideout, blames God on Twitter after dropping game-winning pass

Maybe he should blame himself.

Josh has made some enemies of fans with that trade. Somehow Peyton got in the doghouse and couldn't get himself out. There were rumors of him not practicing hard, I dunno. Of course, we haven't gotten to see what Josh can do with Quinn, and what Quinn can really do, so we don't know how bad or good the trade is....yet. Looks bad now, but with our O-line, I don't know if Hillis could be as good here.

As for the D, I put all that blame on "Wink" Martindale. His schemes are lame. No pressure or blitzing up front. Man to man in the secondary yesterday where we kept getting burned (and no adjustments). Plus poor player execution (not tackling, miscommunication, out of place). The Rams were averaging 18 points a game this year. We let them double that! All in all, it's been a disappointing, consistently inconsistent season.

Derek Anderson has a meltdown following the game when questioned about smiling on the sideline during a brutal defeat. I'm SO glad this bafoon is no longer our problem....

Hillis in the "dog house"?! Have you ever heard this guy speak? Have you heard of his work-out routines? He is the most humble, down to earth, goody-two-shoes, awe-gee-shucks Southern boy, you'd ever meet. I've read stories of his workout routine that included him tying trucks around his waste with a rope and dragging them up hills back in his hometown in Arkansas. He also likes to hunt wild boar with his own two hands. I highly doubt a guy like that would ever be questioned for work mentality. Dude's an absolute beast.

As for the trade, unless Brady Quinn is the second coming to Joe Montana, it's fair to say the Browns got the better end of the deal. Peyton Hillis is putting up numbers that have only been accomplished in this franchise by the likes of Jim freaking Brown and Leroy Kelly!

BTW, not to rub it in or anything, but Quinn is no good. He had his shot in Cleveland and we could all tell he didn't have "it". He'll make a good 3rd string QB, but that's about it. You're better off going with Tebow at this point.

I see Cincy moving to the top ...err I mean bottom of the list. :(

Josh McDanield traded Peyton Hillis, and in essence, got a catchy song in return. :D

HD's 'Mighty Quinn' song could be a top 20 hit in Denver! :haha

At the start of the season, I planned on doing a weekly segment called 'Buffalo Buffoons' about the team.

But when Fitzpatrick got the starting job and the team played better and looked like they have offense, I stopped because they looked better, weren't an embarassment.

In retrospect, I think it's safe to say Trent Edwards was holding the team back.

Edwards was the reason Terrell Owens didn't work out in Buffalo last year, IMO- it's not a coincidence that T.O.'s best game as a Bill came with Fitzpatrick as QB.

For the last two years, I was screaming that Edwards sucked- and it's looking like I was right. If Trent Edwards was playing against Cincy two weeks ago, no way in hell do they come back.

Steve Johnson had 9 touchdown catches this year. In 2009, the team leader had only 7!

He's already thrown more touchdowns this season than the entire team had in touchdown passes last year!

OTOH, the run defense is what it is- a sieve. Dead last with 167.4 allowed (that's nearly 20 more than the next-worst team)

I am afraid to think of what Peyton Hillis could do to Buffalo's so-called rushing defense in two weeks.

GAWD, is the ESPN hype train ever in first gear over next Monday night's game!!

Granted after last night's suckfest, they probably deserve this plum...........but I'm already getting sick of the hype!!
