2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Friday's schedule..............

Devils at Panthers- Game 1- 7:00pm ET (NHLN)
Red Wings at Predators- Nashville leads series 1-0- 7:30pm ET (CNBC)
Flyers at Penguins- Philly leads series 1-0- 7:30pm ET (NBCSN)
Kings at Canucks- LA leads series 1-0- 10:00pm ET (NBCSN)

he NHL is the worst league in terms of officiating and discipline. Too often wether or not the player appears injured at the time is noted as a contributing reason for the punishment or lack there of. The action should be judged on it's own not in combination with the effect on the player being hit.

You'd think they would learn from what's going on in the NFL with lawsuits, the NHL will be next.

Panthers have comeback after being behind 3-0 after the 1st period. Devils had outshot the Panthers 26-9 in the 1st quarter. 2nd quarter, different game. Panthers score 2 and out shoots the Devils 18-6.

3rd period is gonna be a "beaut"!

Even if they lose tonight, the Flyers are defintely the team to beat in this series. Pittsburgh just cannot hold on to a lead. Very disappointing seeing as how they were such a powerhouse during the season.

3 goal deficit was too much to make-up...Panthers lose 3-2. Shots were at a premium in the last quarter, only 4 a piece. There were no whistle stoppage for the 1st 11 minutes of the 3rd period.

Just turned to the flyers/pens game, I see pens lost a lead again, hopefully it will be same result for them :)

I watched the entire first period, and if it wasn't for Theodore it could have easily been 6-0 Devils. Got to hand it to the Panthers for weathering the early storm (26 Devil shots on goal in the first)!

Some kudos to wings goaltender Jimmy Howard last night he had a real nice game as the wings D was not very good last night

Saturday's schedule..........

Capitals at Bruins- Boston leads series 1-0- 3:00pm ET (NBC)
Senators at Rangers- NY leads series 1-0- 7:00pm ET (NBCSN)
Sharks at Blues- SJ leads series 1-0- 7:30pm ET (CNBC)
Blackhawks at Coyotes- Phoenix leads series 1-0- 10:00pm ET (NBCSN)

I would agree crazy things happen in the Stanley cup playoffs but the way they first two games went can be heartbreaking

Oh yes! Like many people I was cheering the Pens to a victory with...what? 20 seconds left in the game? Then...POW!!!! I sat back and asked myself out loud "Did I just see what I thought I saw????" Absolute deflation.

But, all along people have been saying this is the one series that would be the nail-biter and blood-drawer. It ain't over yet!
