BS ...

There is NO REASON they couldn't have done a round robin as long as they had an even number of teams ...
They do it in Grade school, its really not that complicated.

Whoever the dumbA$$ is that said you couldn't do that because you don't have enough teams, is just that ... thats an antique rule some idiot made up.

Like I've said all year ...
The Polls mean NOTHING till the Committee starts doing thier polls.

You have said that often, but you did literally say the opposite in the previous post he was referring to.

Do you even know what a round robin is? It has nothing to do with an even or odd number of teams (the ACC had one back when they had 7, 8, and 9 teams). It means having enough games to allow everyone to play everyone.

The SEC & Big Ten are the only conferences who have never had a round robin because they've always had too many teams to play one.

I guess Bama will be missing out on the playoffs for the first time ever.

If/when LSU beats Georgia, it should be an interesting argument for that #4 slot between Utah and the winner of Choklahoma vs. Baylor next week.

Thats because the sec is afraid to play another conference team game.
Big Ten plays 9 games against one another.
sec doesn't ...hmmm

MANY have said, (provided they both win out in the regular season ... Buckeyes have and LSU is well on thier way )
If LSU and Ohio State lose, they will still be in the top 4 ....

They have a good point, it would be the 1st loss for either team ... why would it move them out of the top 4 (unless one was a blow out mind you) ...

Sadly, after watching most of the 1st half of the Utah game, I haven't been all that impressed, at least thier 1st quarter wasn't all that good.
17-7 at half.

Saban’s been advocating for a 9th conference game for years, schools with out-of-conf annual opponents (ie, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Kentucky) have blocked it. And the Big Ten has NEVER done a round robin for the same reason as the SEC, because they’ve always had 10 or more teams. And back when they both had 10 teams was before the NCAA let schools play 12 games.

Again, try to do some research.

Today appears to be the "Day of the Quote"

After the Ohio State and Ichigan game, Harbaugh, decided not to answer a reporter's question about the gap between the two teams.

Dabo had comments, someone ask him if this GT game was a Big game, he said Ya its a HUGE game ....
And he pointed out that it was Huge because had they lost they would be OUT of the discussion for the top 4.

He made a valid point, said when Georgia lost to SC, people were trying to get Georgia back into the conversation, but if Clemson lost they would be looking for a way to keep, them out ... (although I don't think a loss would knock them out) Daba said they would be ranked 20th ... sarcasm here I hope.

Saban is upset with the officials .... calls didn't go his way for a change apparently.

Its all on the NCAA, they are the ones with the antique rules.

Btw, I guess you have all these rule books at your left hand.

Derwin0,
Why is it everything you post to me is negative ....

You would think someone that is clearly a genius wouldn't be affected by someone as lowly as me ....
Try picking on someone else if you must continuously pick on someone.

If Ohio State, LSU and Clemson win their respective conference championships, it looks like Oklahoma and Baylor will be playing for that 4th CFP slot. If Georgia beats LSU, maybe not.

As for Utah, I think the Oklahoma/Baylor winner will jump them based on their SOS. You never know though.

I don't know how accurate these polls are, but this one for SOS shows Oklahoma (26) and Utah (22) very close (going into this weeks games)

I'm thinking if Georgia beats LSU, they will both be in .... Unless its like a 42-7 game.
If LSU wins, that would give Georgia a 2nd loss and knock them out .... provided Utah and Oklahoma both win thier Conference Championship games.

Heres another one that shows different ...

Even if Utah and Oklahoma both lose, Georgia would likely still be out because Baylor, having beaten Oklahoma in their CG, will only have 1 loss and a conference championship.
