Hope someone can tell me if im on the right track or not,If i use a 22khz switch out at my primestar which has seperate hook-ups for horz and vert,Then run the output to one of my lnb ports on my EMP-8by1switch, Willthis hook-up work?

yes it will work. You'll need 2 satellite set ups for that satellite
one with 22k on and one with 22k off so lets say V is off and H is on and its on port 3 of the switch. Set up would be

Satellite X....port 3 22k off (V side)
Satellite X....port 3 22k on (H side)

Yes it will work, but I think you would do better to use a Multi-Switch, as it would only need to program the Primestar as one satellite. But, Yes it will work!
