We have lost most of the channels in our Spanish package. We get the 771 searching for satellite signal and no channel. We have a DVR receiver in the family room and three standard receivers elsewhere.

(When I use the menu to have Directv tell me the positions for the dish based on the zip code, I have received different information in different rooms. The family room DVR tells me azimuth 210, elevation 40, and tilt 67. The nook standard receiver tells me 209, 42, and 66. How is that possible?).

The signal strengths are as follows:

Family room DVR receiver:

(I cannot locate a tuner 1/tuner 2 choice on the standard receiver. Is that right? Or, do I have old models there?).

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

The different az and el #'s are minute, and are only meant to be starting points. It sounds like your dish is barely off. I would call for a KAKU odu upgrade, as 110 and 119 are being turned off soon anyway.

qidon: I contacted directv about 110 and 119 being turned off soon. The response said that the change would not affect the equipment that I had. No upgrade was needed. Comments?

iwc5893: We are getting the same problem on all the receivers. Since I'm not much of a techie, this multi-switch info. is coming directly off the box it came in. It is a Zinwell, WB68, wide-band 6X8 multi-switch for Ka/Ku dish antenna.

Thanks for the help.

On your zinwell switch, you will see four cables coming from the dish to what are labled 13VDC, 18VDC, 13VDC/22KHz, and 18VDC/22KHZ. You can try swapping the cables around on the input side of the switch, and see if your problem goes away. I suspect the issue is with the multiswitch, or the LNB assembly.
