800 series pvr

anyone know of any problems with weak signal with this box? new, mfg date 2016, signal very erratic when trying to set it up, bars go up & down. Go down the menu to db signal and almost non exeistant on f2, other sats show -2db ? box never authorised. ch set to 350

It's complicated. New out of box there is no signal any longer on 350 and it will need a firmware update.
easiest thing to do is go to Options, then 1,1,2,2 you now can change the V code temporarily, choose 4378 is the only code used now with the new XKU lnb, then try channel 212 you should have a signal. you can call in now to activate it. firmware should update thru the night, or you can force dl under options and system status.

It didn't seem to work, unless I'm not doing it properly, system status, scolled down to the listed V code, click on it (expecting it to allow a change) nothing happens V=64.29
