Hello to all

I have been playing arround with Galaxy 17 for the DMX audio channels.
I receive them perfectly my problem is I can't hear them in any regular receiver.

I only have been able to get them (sound) with a Pansat 9200 HD
out of the regular right left channel.

I got channels with Captiveworks, Coolsat, Traxis, and other cheap Pansat
I hooked all of them with coax and digital output to a converter I bought from Gefen TV

GefenTV+Digital+Audio++to+Analog+Adapter

Could someone tell me what DVB-S receiver will convert this easy and cheap...

I intend to listen all day and wouldn't like to smoke my 9200 HD with audio only....

Thanks in advance.

P.D. the 9200 HD has a dolby digital logo....is that the feature I need to search in a cheap DVB-S receiver????

most regular receivers wont output the AC-3 as is...a few of us have used the sonic voom or now called cyberhome headphones. They have a little box that you hookup to the dolby digital output and instead of using headphones we use a 1/8" to 2 RCA plug adapter (rat shack has them)

Check Ebay,,,but be warned. There are some who are selling just the headphones....you want the whole kit...like this as example

So looks like the key is Dolby digital converter.....

That feature is only in expensive DVB-S receivers??

Thanks in advance

The only receivers I've seen that will play it from the receiver (no extra equipment) are the HD receivers

If you have an audio receiver that supports dolby digital you can use that too

The link you provides states
"Note:
This product does not support encoded Dolby Digital audio. Verify you can turn off Dolby Digital in the source you will be connecting to this converter.
For a Dolby Digital version of this product, please click here to see the GTV-DD-2-AA."

You may need
GefenTV+Digital+Audio+Decoder
As this model decodes the digital signal.

yes I'm aware now after I spent the money
Too bad I didn't post before placing the order
at the moment I thought I only needed digital to analog converter
but I was wrong not only I needed digital to analog converter
but also I needed the unit to decode Dolby Digital.....
sometimes learning is expensive!!!!!

Thanks!!

Plus that other device that brings headphones is really cheap!!! seems to be the best solution.
