Apple Fall Hardware Event takes place today, September 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. PT / 1:00 p.m. ET. It marks the debut of new CEO John Ternus and the expected reveal of Apple's first foldable phone.

I'm surprised the price increase is only $100 more than the 17 Pro and Pro Max. I'm still happy with the 17 Pro Max though. Since I upgraded all 4 of our devices this still saves us a bit.

Love the Fold form factor, would have gotten the new Samsung because of their passport size but the trade in offers were awful so went with Google's new 11 Fold, coming from my 9. Now that Apple has invented it I look forward to a lot more people being hooked on that type of device.

With Samsung and now Apple going that direction hopefully a passport-sized option returns to the Google Pixel lineup w/ the 12 or 13.

Boo that Apple didn't go over any of their Home stuff, but I get that what's rumored to be coming out that would likely need its own event. The Fold looks neat but I just don't know if I could get used to that form factor having been so used to the current form factor for over a decade.

Also no real reason to get an Apple Watch Ultra 4 over the much cheaper Apple Watch 12.

I am just wondering if all the features of the Apple Watch 12 will still work even if you don't upgrade your iPhone. (I have a 16 Pro Max)

I was happy Apple did a good job on the Duo. Nice implementation and no visible fold seam. However, not interested.

While my iphone 15 Pro Max is working well and clean the battery is at 82%. And, when traveling and shooting VR180 3D with my XCAM and other 3D cameras that use the app for storage, I need an upgrade to the 1TB. So considering ordering the 18PM. Still a good trade-in offer. All my Apple stuff is on the Apple Card that has 0% financing and 3% cash back.

My Apple TV is working fine. What can they offer that would make me upgrade?

Have no interest in the Airpods 5 either. If needed, I just put on my smart Rokid Glasses and have AI, translation, and video recording in HD too.

I enjoyed the Galaxy fold and the pixel fold when I tried them out, but ultimately imessage (and a couple of other things) drove me back to iOS.

Ill look at the Duo once its been out a little bit.

Battery life advantage.

I charge mine daily when I take a shower. So no real gain for me. As of now when I charge it it still have about a 50% charge left.

I ordered a Watch 12, and they are giving me $190 as a trade in on my old Ultra 1. So not too bad.
