I just noticed this trailer exclusively on Apple TV+ supposedly coming August of this year: Asimov's Foundation!

Yep. Apple is definitely putting together some high quality shows. Who knows if they will ever make any money at this whole TV thing though.

That $200 up front, is that for an AppleTV 4K? You don’t actually need that to access AppleTV+. You can also access it via Roku 4K and Firestick 4K. They are a lot cheaper.

Easy peasey. The original Foundation Trilogy was 3 books. Since you've read them already, you could start with the Foundation and Empire while SWMBO reads Foundation. And so on. Or go with the prequels, Prelude to Foundation and Forward the Foundation first. Or buy a second set of books.

You have read the prequels and sequels I hope! You do know who R. Daneel Olivaw is...

Just bought a new 65" Sony and the AppleTV+ app was in the store to install. I was a little surprised. Works good.

I’m sure they will. All of the series, so far, have been that way. They have put of the first three episodes up at the start with most series to this point.

You mean the Foundation show? I expect so. Saw this the other day:

In January 2021, Goyer stated “...with Foundation we can tell the story, hopefully, over the course of eighty episodes; eighty hours, as opposed to trying to condense it all into two or three hours for a single film”

My copy of Foundation trilogy is a single SFBC binding. Falling apart now.

I have not read the books. Have to decide....... eventually.

When The Expanse was announced I read all the books. Great story. The TV show, one book a year more or less is painfully slow. Guess this is how things work now.

Now that it is on Sony TVs, I assume it will be coming to Android TV soon as announced last year.
