I can see that happening, once the let the plant deteriorate a bit longer.

Frontier is almost dead. That opens up another issue. Who buys what Frontier ruined.

Its complicated but the bpu could put the pieces back where they came from...cant abandon land lines

Copper landlines are powered by the phone company...no electricty needed...thats why they stoll exist

Keep in mind, unless they are able to move it entirely to fiber, that landline is on the Copper feeding the U Verse internet still.
