Can FTA controlers be replaced with learning univeral al in one controlers like this one.

to control my Satworks 3618. It does not control all features (I had to set up the remote to "learn" each individual feature that I wanted controlled). It works good though (and it replaced 6 other remotes that I was using). I set it up to do the basics and it does good for what I need it to do.
The harmony that you linked to is one of the better (and more expensive) remotes out there so I would think if my remote does it that one should do it better :>

There are many One For All brand remotes that are JP1 compatible. That allows you to downkload custom device files into the remote. For more info on JP1 remotes:

Also, a lot of those inexpensive Wal-Mart type remotes have learning functions, which will learn the buttons from your Fortec remote. I would recommend going to a better store than Wal-Mart for consumer electronics selection, such as BestBuy, CircuitCity, BrandsMart, Fry's, etc. (even Target)
