Ciel-2 Signal Monitoring

I think nelson61 explained this before. The Canadians don't release this info on their satellites like the US ones do. They only released it on Ciel-2 since it was meant for a US broadcast.

Not to hijack the thread, but what I was suggesting was he do what he did for someone who had posted their Ciel II signal with a 1m dish. Take all the different readings people posted and then match them up on a google map so there is an idea for the estimated contour...

Huh? You really can't make a map off of peoples signal readings.

Thanks for the waterfall graphs Smith, good idea! Now you just need to get them in color and add labels! (J/K!)

Heres what I can see from the east coast. I think TP1,5,10,14,15,16 are still from E5 (signal level is lower). I did a comparison between TP1 and TP9 (ciel2 spot), and it was an average of 5.5dB higher. Thats almost 4x the signal!

TP9 and 11 are the only spotbeams I can see over here, which goes with the latest uplink report.

I believe TP 15 is a spot beam also. I'm seeing no signal on TP 15 in Northern California at this time.

Does anyone know when all info. should be off of E5? Also, here in L.A., we have another 5 locals in HD, anyone heard anything about those channels coming soon? KCAL 9, KCOP 13, KWHY 22, KCET 28, KVEA 52

Transponders 5, 10, 14 and 16 just disappeared here in Northern California. Looks like Transponder 1 is the only remaining E5 transponder.

Looks like I lost 1,5,10,14,16. You guys are right about 15, it is just weaker here since I am on the fringe of spotbeam 39. I took some updated snaps. Goodbye CONUS HD locals! :(
