Hello,

I've been looking for a confirmation on this on the site, but to no avail.

Does Dish Network support CSN Chicago in HD? I have read conflicting reports.

Also - on the channel listings, what does MPG4 mean. Is this an upconvert?

I am considering switching from Comcast to Dish Network, however need a few clarifications. I'm a big hockey fan, and subscribe to the Centre Ice package, so looking to maximize my HD capabilities.

Thanks!, and apologize if these answers are in other forums. First time poster here.:)

CSN is in HD; however, it is only for home games. It is not a 24 hour HD channel. Sox, Cubs, Blackhawks home games are all in HD, weekend college football as well. Everything else is sd.

MPEG 4 is the format used for compressing video digital data. It is the highest standard of delivering HD content from dish and directv.
