Bauxite, AR
I have a question which is probably easily explained. When comparing pointing angles on www.dishpointer.com and the dish network installation instructions for Bauxite AR I see that azimuth and elevation are both extremely close (a degree off, this is OK), but when I compare skew, dishpointer.com shows 57° and the dish network installation instructions show 123°. Why are these so far off? I did some pointing using both skews and 123° seems to be much better.

BTW, I have 1000.4 WA pointing at 110 119 129.

Confused, Jason

I think you may be looking at the wrong dish settings on dishpointer. I just did a quick check on the settings for Bauxite, AR and it says the skew is 122.9°. You should be using the settings for 1000.2 on dishpointer if you have a 1000.4 WA.

Thanks mrtg3336rz! You are right. I was not using the correct lookup. Earlier this morning I realized that I had been using the "All Satellite" option instead of the "Multi-LNB" option. Once I had that problem fixed I selected the 110W 119W 129W option. I didn't even see the options with the specific dish. That IS one great site!

Thanks, Jason
