Is there anyway to get component output from the microHD?

I'm thinking something like this would give me problems on certain channels with AC3 sound.

Yes. Your example would be perfect for providing component connections from the HDMI source.

The microHD already provides decoded AC3 / Dolby audio from the AV port and RCA LR connections.
