Composite cables

Where can I look to get composite cables A/V in lengths of 75 ft, or maybe a 50' and a 25'.
I know Component would be better, but the other TV I'm running them to is a SD TV anyways.

I have a terrible picture with the RF converter I bought awhile back, or what ever it was, it was suppose to change the Composite out to be able to hook up to coax, but it looks like Dog s**T. (waisted about $ 50-70)

Unfortunatly I don't think there is a second Component out , out of the HR20-100's or a coax for that matter, but there is a composite out available.

Will the length be a problem with signal loss.

Does Composite do HD, I can't seem to remember anymore what does and doesn't (thinking about the future, poss. HD set there )

I run a 37' component for HD without ANY issues; so I would guess 50' composite should be fine. Do you have an extra output for s-video? I would go that route if possible.

Composite out will not feed/supply 720p/1080i/1080p HD content.

You can also buy a cable like this, also at monoprice.com They have up to 100' as far as I can tell.

Just use one of the Component Video cables to replace your Yellow Composite line and you would be set in case in the future you place and HD set there.

You would be much better off with a good grade of rg6 coax with "F" connectors on it. Adapters can then be screwed on the ends to convert them to RCA males.

If you buy them from Radio Shack, you can just return them, if they don't work.

I use monoprice all the time for stuff like cables and connectors. I got a 90' component and 100' toslink cable from them that work great. Love their prices.

No, but Component cables do."red,green,blue" But they don't carry sound. so you would have to run audio cables as well.

In the future I will address the Component issue as I currently have a SD Sony there, it's at my parents so it may or may not get replaced eventually.

If it does than I will look into changing the composite to component, I see mono has a 100 ft for $ 44 .

I hadn't thought about that ....
Well I have 4 composite cables run over there now. If that is the case, what happens if I plug the appropriate cables into the composite connections on the back of the rec and TV ?

Would I be screwing something up ?
I understand that the Audio would have to be seperate, I can run another one later when a new TV arrives.

Just curious.

Cables are cables, just make sure you are consistent with the color coding when using component for composite.
For example, use the component red for composite red, component green for composite white, and component blue for composite yellow. This is all you need.

If you just can't get it rightm just go to Home Depot or Lowes and get the 3M colored electrical tape assortment and wrap then end of each cable.
