Considering VOOM --- Questions

Is there still "rumor" that VOOM will get InHD (or HDNET)?

I am concerned about OTA reception. I currently have Dish and the 811 receiver only locks on half of stations. However, I have also have a Samsung SIR T151 and it receives all of them. Can anyone rate VOOMS OTA receiver function vs others?

I do not have an 811 but a 6000. I am very close to the tower and the 6000 drops ota picture a whole lot. The VOOM OTA module is very steady. It locks in and retains the picture very well. There is no manual scanning function but in the next software release there will be one. I heard it is very close.

INHD and HDnet are still rumors.

My 6000 locks not much and the DTV Hughes locks 3/4 of my OTA. As much as I dislike Motorola and what they have done to the 4DTV C/Ku market, the 550 does the job and is extremely stable.

Get off the fence and get Voom! I had HDnet w/ *D* and I think it's over rated.
