I need help configuring the Coolsat 6000 to work with the QPH-031 LNB. My setup is as follows

QPH-031 1 Circular output to the LNB1 input of the DiSEqC switch and 1 Linear output of the LNB to the LNB2 input of the DiSEqC switch. The output of the switch to the LNB input of the SG-2100 motor and the output of the moter to the LNB input of the Receiver. I think it is connected properly. My question is, where do I get information on the configuration of the Coolsat/QPH-031/DiSEqC setup. Which type of LNB do I select on each satellite and which port on the DiSEqC switch do I select for each satellite? my location is zip code 60014.

most people put the L side on port 1 and C side on port 2 but whatever works :)

setup in the dish setup is
LNB POWER-ON
LNB TYPE-SINGLE
LNB FREQ-10750 for L satellite, 11250 for C satellites
22k-OFF
DISEQC-1.0
DISEQC PORT-1 or 2 depending on satellite

I'm guessing you have your dish pointed true south and most people have the linear side to port 1 on the switch, but here goes on the setup: on the remote, choose menu, installation, dish setting. on that screen, use the following: lnb power ON, lnb type SINGLE, lnb freq 10.750, 22KHz OFF, DISEqC switch 1.0, then the commited port to 1 (in your case since the "L" side is connected to port 2, choose 2) THAT is the setup for the "L" side! On the circular side, use the same screen and choose the circular satellites (nimiq, echostar) and change the lnb freq to 11250, and change the commited port to 2 (in your case, choose 1) then when you point at a certain sat, the lnb knows what freq it is. but the qph-031 is a STANDARD lnb, (or single for our coolsats) Hope this helps!

This helps alot. I can put the L to port one on the switch with not problem. I havn't mounted the dish yet. I will make it more standardized. Where can I find a list of which satellites are linear and which are circular. I'm guessing that the FTA stuff is all linear?
