I have a problem with my VIP722k DVR. On the "Create Timer" page the default setting, as to how often, is all over the map. First one then the other. "ALL-NEW-ONCE-WEEKLY-DAILY-MON-FRI" . Ninety nine percent of the time I use ONCE. Is there a way to set it to ONCE as default. What page in the " User's Guide"????

The reason it changes is based on what you are trying to record. Pick a movie for instance, it will default to" record once" pick an ongoing TV show and it will start with record "new episodes" which to me makes the most sense for an ongoing series usually.

Thanks Tampa8, I am sorry to hear that. I guess the wife and are not the "Usually" kind of people. I have tried to use the "new episodes" a few times but it does the reruns too. So it is useless to me also. Just more trouble deleting them.
Actually if you select a New Episode of a series it will default to "New Episodes." If you pick a repeat episode of a series it will default to "All Episodes."
SaltiDawg, It gets worse all the time. Why anyone would make a program like that makes no sense to me. And I thought I was wearied !!!
I actually like it the way it is set up. IIRC it uses to always default to All Episodes for series events.
