The HD DVR Main Menu has a new choice, "Daily Fortune".
Does anyone know what this is supposed to do?

A Mystery
4 HR20's, 1 HR-21, & 1 HR-23, all 6 DVR's have the latest national releases.
The menu item "Daily Fortune appears on all 6 DVR's.

The Daily Fortune was mentioned previously a month or so ago, it was in the software for a short time and then I thought it was removed for awhile while they address other issues.
I didn't know it was back, I have HR20's and it is not on my units.
Where are you finding it in the menus ?
It is on my H21, I just noticed it within the last week or two.

It was used to test some networking features prior to the development of TV Apps. When selected it would just show a random downloaded quote, like a fortune cookie.
Really it was the receiver trying to conect to a web server.
Today it serves no purpose, it was just a predecessor to TV Apps.
