Well they only unite when all of them are threatened. Once that threat is gone , it will be right back to backstabbing , sleeping with each other's spouses, etc.

Good show last night and should be a good 2 hour season finale next week!!
Wow season finale already, that was quick!
This show is really good. I was really young when the original series aired and back then I didn't care anything about watching shows like this. But it makes me want to go back and watch the original series from the beginning. Any idea what would be the easiest (and cheapest) way to do this?

I should have waited till Monday to have my marathon 4 episode catchup. Really looking forward to the season finale. Its been a great season so far.

The only thing that wouldn't have happened was the quickie marriage. Texas requires a 72 hour waiting period between getting the license and performing the ceremony. The only thing I can think of is they flew to Vegas.
My wife actually got upset because we have to wait until tomorrow evening to watch the finale.

Texas also doesn't allow first cousins (natural or adoptive) to marry, but they didn't allow Christopher to get an annulment. The writers tend to diregard laws and original series history both.
But Rebecca(Pamela) wasn't marrying Christopher as a Barnes, I don't think. Didn't she say she was Rebecca Wentworth? Besides ,Christopher isn't really a Barnes or a Ewing. He was adopted . I am sure the Texas law says Blood related 1st cousins.
I thinks that the death of J.R. has breathed new life into the direction of the show. NO pun intended. It has vastly improved and the show has become very interesting. I only hope that they get some prettier girls for Chris and John Ross to hang around next season. This show is missing the ever present T & A that the original Dallas had. Everytime I look at Rebecca/Pamela , I see that big old scar over her nose and think: They couldn't of found a prettier girl than this one to play her? Same for Elana. She is stick thin and very boring looking. Girls in Texas are beautiful . These two look like rough versions you might find in any Walmart in the country.

Either way though, the actual Texas marriage application actually forbids first cousins marrying, even if they're related by adoption.
