You may have just noticed a quick downtime. I just upgraded the DB servers OS to FreeBSD 7.1-STABLE from 7.1-PRERELEASE. I'm also about to recompile the DB server software itself (MySQL). This should, I hope, improve stability.

There have been a few times in the last 30 minutes where the site seems to have gone AWOL.

Yeah, The HTTP server was doing wonky things. Restarted both, and we seem(!) to be better now.

I do a lot of the system admin for the site. See the "Server Weenie" in my title below my name?

This site is loading super slow for me. All the other sites seem fine. I got some odd message about for a second when the loading the main site, but it was up and gone really fast. It seems like there is quite of bit of lag.

We're not sure what's going on yet. I, unfortunately, have a Customer SEV1 here at work that I'm dealing with, so it will have to wait.

Server is running fine.

Page generated in 0.04478 seconds with 15 queries [Server Loads: 1.49 1.83 : 2.11]

Remember there could be a lot of things going on between your house in Maine and our server in Dallas, Texas.

I will however be doing work in a little bit upgrading our vBulletin software which I was supposed to do last week. We should be down for about 10 minutes (or less) :)

I also noticed that HDRoberts said it seems a bit also.

When I was at school I also notice that the site was slow too today. The slow part is at the beginning like when it finding the page and then it loads.

At school we are on a 1 Gig Internet 2 line which is super fast. I asked out IT Dept guy and asked him if there was any problems today and he said that there wasn't at all. There was a few this past weakened. He also said that we have a big switch in Houston, Tx and then 2 add/ drop station switch in Dallas, Tx. There is 2 lines that go to dallas incase of a problem.

Based on this, I don't think that there is a problem on my end of things.

Sorry, but could you please look into this further.

Thanks again, Josh

site has been ok, but my overall connectivity has been slow today -- a major piece of fiber got cut today somewhere between here and Chicago, and I suspect has had a ripple effect. :)
