Any specific date out there yet when these channels will be available ? I'm particularly interested in the CSN BA and CSN California HD channels.

Speaking of HD I thought many of you would get a kick of this. Back in 1989 on 20/20 talking about HDTV

That's great news!!! Finally!!!:D

No, its not just him I want it too!! :)

That and FLN and everything I watch will be in HD.

I dont care even a little bit about premium channels and PPV's. I still cant understand why anyone would lay out $12 a month to see maybe 4 decent new movies a month or $5 a pop for a PPV when you can rent all the movies you want for a buck a pop at redbox or netflix. Hell, you can BUY a lot of good movies on blu-ray for under ten bucks.

It seems like you bet on the wrong horse if you want movies.

I bet on the wrong horse? No, I relied on DirecTV adding all they promised (I.E. June 2007 press release announcing 11 more HBO/MAX channels in HD. Believing they would have the most HD, I signed up for DirecTV. Meanwhile, FIOS had their own upgrade and went from the flagships of all the premiums in HD to carrying all HBO/MAX channels (26), most Starz, most Showtimes, etc.... and now Epix.

The video clip of the 1989 20/20 show talking about HDTV was a very interesting.
Guess we can thank Japan for starting research and development back in 1964. I also found at the end of the clip where HBO said it could start broadcasting in HD now but nobody had HD TV's interesting since still today D* only offers limited HBO in HD.
