Man,I am excited. On Apr. 17 at 10:30am I get to watch the Kolkata Knight Riders versus the Rajasthan Royals. On Apr. 18,it's the Delhi Daredevils versus the Deccan Chargers. I thought there were more "free preview" cricket matches, but I guess 2 is enough(especially when the matches seem to last 4 &1/2 hours each).

IIRC you need a worlddirect dish for Cricket on the 95 satellite? The preview is of a $299 package FYI.

I don't know how long cricket takes, the guide usually adds time, hockey/baseball/basketball packages allow 6 hours for the game.

That's actually a pretty nice preview window because the Cricket ticket is $$$$ . I'm not a big cricket watcher but the IPL is rapidly growing and the world wide rights are way up there ($1 billion over 10 years) much to the dismay of the Brits

In case anyone is interested.

I wondered about that,Cricket Ticket being on 95 satellite. They are showing the preview on 101 channel. I personally cannot imagine paying the same amount of money as NFL Sunday Ticket for a sport I don't understand & a test match could last 3 days. I watched a match on TV in Berlin with a British nurse trying to explain the rules to me. I still don't understand, but I'll try to watch some of it anyway.

Cricket is actually pretty easy to understand. Just need to read up on it via wikipedia and there are some youtube video's that will explain the game too. I found the hardest part to learn is the terminology used and there is a wikipedia article for that too. T20 Cricket is very fun to watch while Test Cricket makes for a very long day.

It's too bad CricketTicket is located on the 95 Sat.

No way I'd plunk down $300 for this. The commercials are out of control during these games.
