Directv Phase I dish with Dish Network 4000 receiver?

Hi, I have an Dish Network 4000 receiver currently working with a single lnb Dish 300. I'm trying to get the receiver to work with a Directv Phase I dish with a dual lnb. I can pick up Dish 110 but not 119 which is what I need. Any reason why this will not work?

Because you need a Dish 500. DirecTV dishes do not work. You also should get a new receiver because the 4000 doesn't support 8PSK.

Are you trying to aim the D* dish for 119 and use the dish 300 for 110? If yes both will need to be LEGACY LNBs you may have a DP on the dish 300 the D* dual is LEGACY. You will need a SW21 switch to combine access to both satellites after you have both dishes correctly aimed.

YOU REALLY REALLY NEED TO REPLACE THAT 4000 311 or newer 211 preferrable.

Thanks for the reply. I want to use the D* dish by itself pointing to 119W with the 4000 receiver for a temporary setup. The existing 300 dish that works with the 4000 receiver is a single lnb. I can get the D* dish to pick up 110W but nothing when pointed to 119W which is what I need.

Use the Directv in place of the Dish 300.
