wonder who thought of that name. should be called cord shavers!!! cut one service the everything else goes up!!!It's Cord Cutters.
I'll note that this does not appear to be official news, but rather a regurgitation of the same anecdotal findings from this forum. I am curious to see how long before DTV makes an official statement about this. They eventually will have to.
Nice find John. We finally got a quote from DTV!![]()

Los Angeles is one of the markets where sat installations are still available:funny thing is my area is supposed to be a streaming only area but we can still get sat service![]()
It looks to be market by market. I just tried some LA, Philly, Atlanta, Denver, Baltimore, Scranton, Vegas, Seattle, Sacramento, Kansas City, San Diego, Peoria and Birmingham zips and they worked, while NYC, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, San Francisco, DC, Detroit, Boston, Phoenix, Minneapolis, Tampa, Miami, Orlando, Cleveland, Hartford and St Louis didn't.
i gathered mixed thoughts on that as some sites said la was one that was streaming only for new subs and some said you could still get sat service!!! the dtv reps know nothing about it as always!!!Los Angeles is one of the markets where sat installations are still available:
My area can't get the sat service for new customers but the option is still there on the website to try to order it. What happens if you click the Satellite button? Does it go into the ordering process or do you get the popup that it isn't available?
