Chat

I just had an online chat with a Dish agent and she told me not to worry, my channels would not be removed. I printed the chat for proof just in case I do lose my FSN channels.

Not worth the memory that you have it saved in. The CSR's have no idea what is happening with issues like this. They are just told to say what you were told.

If Dish and Fox don't cut a deal, then Fox will delete the Dish Network Forum off of this site. :D
I doubt it. It will take a lot more money then that. :D :D

But you can't say that we don't let the opposing team give their side of the story. :)

You guys deserve to hear both sides of the story so you can better decide how to spend your hard earned money.

Thats the way we have always been and as long as I am alive and running the site thats the way it will stay. :)

Fox can do whatever. Don't watch FX, NatGeo. I don't watch any of the FSN until College Basketball season when Duke starts playing. Right now, just don't mess with my NFL Redzone. Hey, maybe the price of the Multi-Sport package can go down. ;)

If Dish loses these Fox channels I hope Scott has a few backup servers ready for this site. Going to be an overload of posts...

No he'll just let it lock out the Bobsey twins.

Here is how you know that anyone named "Bob" is evil:

Back in the 80s, the preachers were playing rock records backwards and hearing various messages from the devil to our youth.

Well, if you record "Bob" and play it backwards, it is still "Bob" !!

Further proof - those horrible Enzyte commercials on Dish starred "Bob"...

I will think it will give me a little bargaining power if these channels are cancelled and I decide I want to cancel my Dish contract. They can't have people flat out lying to their customers without consequences.

Doubtful they will just say that the CSR gave you the wrong info at the time. If this post more than once it is due to the fact I keep getting a data base error when I hit submit.

Well, if it means Not having my bill go up by another $10 next February, I say screw Fox.
Give it another year (maybe two) and these constant threats by the networks will have me saving over $100 per month by going with 100% internet coverage (netflix, hulu, and maybe MLB.com), and dropping all satellite/cable coverage all together.

it won't give you anything but a headache. you decide to leave and you are under contract, it will cost you. no matter what a chat says.

I'd be willing to take it to small claims court. Missing the division playoffs and the World Series - no judge would dare rule against you, especially if you're in one of the towns with a playoff team.

read the contract you signed. If the judge reads it, you lose!
