well guys and gals, i am going to check out a couple of dishes this sat 3 for ku band. and 2 or so for c band, i think a couple of 10 footers.

and also i have a direct tv slim line dish up at a friends house could i use that for fta or does it need to be bigger.

Slimline dish for FTA

I've got one of those laying around, thinking it's a bit small. Think my 30 inch CM would outperform it. Might be OK for a strong channel though. Smaller dishes require a strong transponder signal. Be better off using a larger dish if you can to allow for rain fade and signal strength variation.
