Dish Satellite now under 5 Million subscribers/Sling under 2 Million.

Cord cutters website had a story yesterday about they are expecting Sling Tv to go under this year. So I can see Charlie trying to sell off both Sling TV and DISH again to Directv or anybody to get out from under the dual sinking ships.
I sure they will but no one will want to buy them cause no one wants absorb there "debt" and by that I mean the stock holder didnt agree to last attempt cause of that. ATM Dish is Dish own worse enemy unless thing change I dont see dish surviving

If they were going to sell, now is the time while the service has some value still, but since we are looking at another over a million loss of subscribers for Dish and Sling this year, time is running out.

Huge chunk of eastern CT is Spectrum (Charter). I like them better than Comcast (for internet). They sure have a bad reputation, but I've always had great customer service, and they are quick to give me better promo pricing when one expires.

Same here. I got Spectrum Fiber in rural Western NC a couple of years ago and it's been great. Started out paying $50 a month for the 300 Mbps plan and now I'm paying $20 for the 500 Mbps plan. I haven't had internet service that cheap since I was on dial up.

That is very impressive pricing! Currently $50 for Gig down/40 up. They just came through and upgrade all their equipment - so hoping for gig up/gig down soon. They have lost a lot of business to Frontier - they ran fiber to most of the state.

$25 a month for 1 gig, for two years with Spectrum. I'd be darned that their router was MUCH better than AT&T's. I didn't realize that what I thought was something else was the bloody router. Those buffering issues stopped when I swapped... after AT&T refused to lower my bill, after 25 years of high speed internet service. They wanted $80 or so a month for 1 gig, with no drop to a lower speed.

I believe this is the appropriate place to put this, from the 1st Quarter Report-

EchoStar's legal battles

The abandonment of Dish's 5G network is at the heart of a number of lawsuits involving tower companies and contractors that Dish quit paying last year. Dish continues to say that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) forced it to sell spectrum to AT&T and SpaceX, which constitutes a "force majeure" event that tower and other companies dispute.

It's not just tower and fiber providers that are affected. Fierce spoke with property owners across the country who were collecting rent from Dish for 5G antennas and related gear on their property. Dish stopped paying them as well, citing the "force majeure" argument. Now they're stuck with unused 5G equipment on their properties – and it would cost them thousands of dollars to remove it themselves.

That is total bull. Echo should have lost that spectrum altogether under the use it or lose it provisions of the auctions. To now say it can't pay creditors is just crookery.

Well, they do need to conserve money, since they (Dish/Sling's)are, in my opinion, about two years away from being unprofitable.

This year and next will be a combined over 2 million subscribers at least, gone to other options, Sling will be properly shut down, Dish will be in the 3 Million or less subscribers range the beginning of 2028.

Again, Dish needs to make major changes so to survive, DirecTV and Charter/Spectrum started their planning of restructuring the services a few years ago, now it is paying off, subscriber losses are finally slowing down for both, while Dish/Sling's are picking up.

Why did not Dish do the same, there is not one rumor of them changing how they offer service to customers.
