Dish still offering Sirius receiver?

I believe they stopped offering it. From what I remember wasn't it just a sportster that was re badged with dish logos?

It was funny it cost the dealler $119 for this radio yet, as a consumer I could walk into any electronics store and buy the same radio (less the Dish Network Logos) for $99 or less.

Something was wrong with that picture.

Thanks guys.

Any opinions on good quality but not too costly unit for Sirius? I'm trying to decide betw. Sirius and XM ... so far I like XM programming better, and actually since we get the music channels (Sir.) on Dish it seems like I'd get the mostest choices that way.

But if I find that all the XM receivers suck, I'd likely go with Sirius for the car too ....

Well I know a lot of people that have this Sirius receiver http://shop.sirius.com/edealinv/ser...=&oldParentID=7870&catParentID=7870&scId=7875

If you looking for an XM receiver depending on how much you want to spend

or
http://shop.xmradio.com/detail.aspx?pid=293&cat=7

Was it ever possible to combine a Sirius subscription on your Dish bill? It seems like that might reduce the initial resistance to satellite radio if they could do this.

Yeah I see this is a bit old, but wanted to chime in. I love Sirius. Directv regretibly picked up XM for thier music channels so I have been trying it out on there, and I just am amazed. I will not say it is bad, and I am sure with a bit more time and familiarity I could like it. But to me Sirius kicks its but on nearly all music that I was searching through.
As a small note, and you may not care. Sirius' channel for kids (Kids Stuff) kicks XM's butt handily. My daughter (only 1) loves it there is always a fun sing along and clap song playing. Even occasional sounds of just babies and kids playing. While on XM (XM Kids) there is rarely something fun, and often some dumb ass "shows" on there.
But if you don't have kids then never mind. There is always the NFL network!
